Tythitias?

Right--large medical name for a small complication of chemotherapy. Basically, it means that Joy's colon is infected because there are no white blood cells to combat bad bacteria. She's currently being treated with large doses of IV antibiotics and we're hoping (keep your fingers crossed!) that she does not need surgery.

Good news is, she was up and about today. She's been done with chemo for a few days and is sooooo grateful that it is done for now.

Tythi-what? Well, THAT'S pretty crappy!! I was gonna write something else to brighten your day, but thought better. Too many people praying for you (me included) so I didn't want to get zapped or something! Hope you're feeling better. Anon.

I am grateful for this blog. It is nice to keep updated with your progress without bothering anyone with phone calls. This way you can know that we are thinking about you and praying for you and you can read on your own time. You are a beautiful person and an example to all around you. Hope to be able to see you soon.

Fingers and toes are crossed that surgery is not needed. Thinking of you all and hoping there's more good news than bad to report in the near future.

Love,

Steph

Joy,
We love you and are praying that the antibiotics are able to fight this infection so that surgery is not necessary. We enjoyed seeing Ken and Olivia earlier this week. We sure love your family!

Hi Joy...glad to see that you are able to visit with your children...they are all so sweet. I got to see your three oldest at the ward party and they were dressed up so cute! I love your children and just want you to know that...the time I spent with them in primary is among my favorite times in serving in this church!

Hope you are able to keep your spirits high as I'm sure the days get long in the hospital.

Here's a trick or treat idea for you...heavy on the "trick" side: When Halloween gets here and you get any "trick or treat"'rs just flash them the opening in the back of your gown and that's sure to get them!!

We love you!
